Abstract

This publication briefly describes and illustrates the Nation's ecosystem regions as shown on the map "Ecoregions of the United States." A copy of this map, described in the Introduction, can be found between the last page and the back cover of this publication. The description of each region includes a discussion of land-surface form, climate, vegetation, soils, and fauna.
