Principais Aspectos Relacionados À Saúde Dos Empregados Na Agricultura Brasileira No Período 1998-2003

Abstract

O texto analisou a evolução das condições de saúde e do acesso aos serviços de saúde para uma categoria específica de ocupados na agricultura brasileira, que são os empregados agrícolas permanentes e temporários, tendo como base os microdados que foram tabulados dos suplementos especiais de saúde contidos nas Pnads de 1998 e 2003. De forma mais específica, o texto abordou as diferenças regionais quanto à evolução do perfil populacional no tocante à auto-avaliação do estado de saúde das pessoas, às restrições das atividades habituais, às principais doenças crônicas informadas, ao acesso e a utilização dos serviços de saúde, à cobertura dos planos de saúde e odontológico e à participação do SUS no atendimento da população trabalhadora. Em linhas gerais, os dados quantitativos mostraram uma evolução relativamente favorável do quadro de saúde dos empregados. As principais diferenças regionais se manifestaram nos indicadores de cobertura dos planos de saúde e de atendimento odontológico, sendo os empregados agrícolas das regiões Norte e Nordeste os menos assistidos. ---- The text analyzed the evolution of health conditions and health services access for a specific category of the Brazilian agricult ure employees: the permanent and temporary agricultural employees, based on the 1998 and 2003 Pnads micro data, tabulated from special health tables. In a specific approaching, the text deals with the evolution of the regional differences in the population profile concerning to the self-evaluation of the people's health condition, to the restrictions of people’s habitual activities, to the main chronic diseases information, to the access and use of the health services, to the health and dental plans coverage and to the participa tion of SUS in the workers’ attendance. The quantitative data point out a relatively favorable evolution in the employees' general health condition. The main regional differences refer to the indexes of health and dental plans coverage, and the less attended agricultural employees live in the North and Northeast regions.
