Inovação E Práticas Endógenas Na Atividade Pesqueira Do Baixo Tocantins: Uma Alternativa Face À Dificuldade De Oferta

Abstract

A atividade pesqueira desenvolvida no âmbito da região do Baixo Tocantins acaba sendo de grande valia, principalmente para as populações ribeirinhas, tanto na composição de sua dieta alimentar, mas também por permitir que, por meio da ocupação de força de trabalho, se obtenha renda para realizar os chamados consumos complementares. Este artigo tenta mostrar como as comunidades mais afetadas com os impactos contraproducentes na pesca estão reagindo ao problema de redução de oferta de pescado. Procura elucidar que as praticas endógenas aliadas as inovativas são um meio potencial de superação desta crise. Finalmente, apresenta resultados importantes obtidos a partir destas práticas, bem como análises dos prováveis benefícios daí vindouros.
