Caracterização Das Atividades Agropecuárias E Formas De Organização Social Dos Produtores Familiares Da Região De Marília, Estado De São Paulo

Abstract

O objetivo deste trabalho foi identificar as principais atividades agropecuárias e as formas de organização social dos produtores familiares da região de Marília, Estado de São Paulo, no período de 2000 a 2005. Foram coletadas informações junto a técnicos da Casa da Agricultura, Programa SAI, agricultores e líderes de associações rurais nos 13 municípios pertencentes ao Escritório de Desenvolvimento Rural de Marília. O estudo revelou que a pecuária leiteira, horticultura, a cultura da melancia, do amendoim e do café são as atividades familiares mais representativas na região e que, a partir do ano 2000, houve um aumento de 23% no número de associações de produtores rurais regionais.
