Análise Da Influência De Alguns Fatores Socioeconômicos E Demográficos No Consumo Domiciliar De Carnes No Brasil

Abstract

O objetivo deste trabalho é fazer uma análise da influência de alguns fatores socioeconômicos e demográficos no padrão de consumo de carnes da população brasileira. O enfoque da análise é o Brasil com uma diferenciação para as Grandes Regiões e para o meio urbano e rural. Os dados utilizados são oriundos da Pesquisa de Orçamentos Familiares - (POF) 2002-2003, realizada pelo Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística (IBGE). Utilizou-se os microdados da referida pesquisa e se aplicou um modelo econométrico – o procedimento em dois estágios de Heckman, para analisar a influência dos fatores socioeconômicos no consumo domiciliar de carne bovina, suína e de frango. Os resultados mostram que os fatores socioeconômicos e demográficos possuem uma influência significativa nos padrões de consumo domiciliar de carnes no Brasil.
