Abstract

This work objectified to characterize and to identify Indicators for Sustainable Integrated Management of Agroforester Systems (SAF) with cocoa culture, having as study object the Project of Directed Nesting (PAD) Burareiro, in the Cacaulândia city, state of Rondônia (RO). In terms of referential theoretical and empirical, are discussed: the issues pertaining to the territory as the unit of analysis, agroforester systems, the alternatives of production and the identification of indicators to analysis of integrated management. The methodology followed to the following steps: defining the settlement in the area of research, study the profiles of the farmers settlers, analysis and synthesis of information obtained. The analysis involved the characterization of 44 (lots) farms with SAF in the area of research, the profile of the population existing in its various aspects, the ability to use the land and its current situation, production and average income per hectare of the main segments economical. The results had pointed with respect to significant reduction of the implanted SAF, privileging the activities of fast return or short term. One identified 02 (two) models of SAF with cacao: Provisory Multiple (SPM) and Multiple Zonal Permanent Mixing (SMPZ). The capacity of use of the land is centered in the activities of cattle SAF and. The production if concentrates in the permanent cultures, cultures annual and cattle. The monthly income of the country properties understands the interval of the 02 (two) 05 (five) minimum wages. In relation to the average income for hectare, bigger yield of the SAF was observed, in relation to the yield of the cattle one, since that the indices of capacity of support of the systems of cattle handling are adopted. From the analysis of the results, it is suggested indicating considered essential for integrated management of SAF, related to the elements: productivity; public administration; equity; education; job; habitation and basic sanitation; economic analysis; cultural treatments; use of the land; commercialization; credit; e infrastructure.
