Abstract

A internacionalização é um processo crescente e continuado de envolvimento de uma empresa nas operações com outros países fora de sua base de origem. O sistema agroindustrial exportador de frango de corte brasileiro adquiriu o status de maior exportador mundial desta commodity e o terceiro maior produtor mundial. Essa posição se deve a diversos fatores, entre eles: a utilização de novas tecnologias, tanto na produção como no manejo; melhoria da qualidade sanitária; e grande disponibilidade de insumos (mão-de-obra e grãos a baixo custo). A atividade apresenta um elevado dinamismo e importância econômica e social para o país. O objetivo deste estudo é caracterizar o perfil da internacionalização da agroindústria exportadora de frango de corte de Mato Grosso do Sul após 1990, utilizando como arcabouço teórico o modelo de internacionalização de empresas de Kraus (2000). Foi adotada metodologia qualitativa, com base no estudo de casos múltiplos. Buscou entender e classificar as empresas agroexportadoras do estado dentro do processo de internacionalização. Os resultados revelam que as empresas existentes no estado são oriundas de outras regiões do país e do mundo e estão situadas nas duas primeiras etapas do modelo de internacionalização: pré-envolvimento e envolvimento passivo, sendo que a maior parte dos produtos exportados possui baixo valor agregado. São apresentadas, ainda, as contribuições do estudo.---------------------------------------------The internationalization is a process growing and continued of involvement of an enterprise in the operations with other countries out of his base of origin. The system agroindustrial exporting of chicken of Brazilian cut acquired the status of the biggest world-wide exporter of this commodity and the third biggest world-wide producer. This position is due to several factors, between them: the use of new technologies, both in the production and in the handling; improvement of the sanitary quality; and great availability of inputs (labour and grains to low cost). The activity presents an elevated dynamiting and economical social importance for the country. The objective of this study is to characterize the profile of the internationalization of the exporting agroindustry of chicken of cut of Mato Grosso do Sul after 1990, using like theoretical reference Kraus (2000) enterprises internationalization model. Qualitative methodology was adopted, with basis of the study of multiple cases. It looked for opinion and to describe the agroexporters enterprises as the state inside the process of internationalization. The results show that the existent enterprises in the state are originating from other regions of the country and from the world and are situated in the first two stages of the model of internationalization: preliminary involvement and passive involvement, being that most of the exported products have low increase value.
