Abstract

The technical assistance still limited to family farmers in Pernambuco reflects the loss of competitiveness in productive arrangements considered strategic municipalities in the Forest Zone of Pernambuco. The social fragility identified by the study of Goitá and Tapacurá’s river basin, where cassava is grown, is due to low production capacity in areas of cultivation and availability of houses of flour in precarious operation. The orientation and the planning of the familiar agriculture carried through participatory decisions can be considered a vision of the future set in that instance, and supports the diversification with significant improvement in the sustainable development of the web production of cassava in the area.
