Abstract

-------------------------The main objective of this study was to verify the potentiality of castor seed as a raw material for biodiesel production. The data were obtained various publications. In addition to table and descriptive analysis, simple regression technique was used to identify the existence of tren in area harvested and productivity of mamona during the study period. The results showed that developing countries are responsible for the prodction of castor seed and its oil. Meanwhile, the developed countries are main importers of castor seed oil. The countries such as India, China and Brzil have potential to use castor seed as raw material for biodiesel production.
