Abstract

A Reserva Extrativista Chico Mendes ou RESEX Chico Mendes, constitui-se atualmente de um grande potencial econômico sustentável para os povos residentes na floresta, sendo de fundamental importância para preservação ecológica. A finalidade deste trabalho é mostrar a importância que o autoconsumo exerce como forma de reprodução social e econômica das famílias seringueiras residentes na Reserva. Para isso, a partir da análise dos indicadores econômicos referentes ao autoconsumo, nível de vida e margem bruta familiar avalia-se o desempenho econômico das unidades de produção familiar extrativista. ---------------------------The Extractive Reserve Chico Mendes, or either, RESEX Chico Mendes, constitute today, for a great economical potential sustainable for the peoples who resident in the forest, being of basic importance for ecological preservation. The finality this work is to show the importance that the self-consumption exerts as form of social and economic reproduction to the resident rubber tree families in the Reserve. For this from the analysis of the referring economic pointers to self-consumption, margin brute familiar and level of life, the economic performance of the units of extrativista familiar production is evaluated.
