Breve Histórico Do Uso De Sistemas De Informações Gerenciais Aplicados A Empresas Rurais

Abstract

Nas últimas décadas o Brasil tem confirmado seu importante papel na produção agrícola mundial. Apoiando esta posição encontra-se a utilização da informática pelas empresas rurais e o destaque para a utilização dos sistemas de informações gerenciais (SIGs). O objetivo deste artigo foi reunir e discutir informações sobre alguns fatos da história do desenvolvimento da agroinformática no Brasil enfocando-se a participação dos SIGs desde a década de 60 até 2000. Portanto, este trabalho caracteriza-se como um ensaio teórico realizado a partir de revisão bibliográfica. Como considerações finais percebeu-se que ocorreu um rápido crescimento do mercado de softwares para fazendas; existe uma predominância na utilização de sistemas do tipo transacional e gerencial; notou-se uma necessidade crescente das empresas rurais à integração de informações; uma grande fragmentação do setor e por isso o ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) agropecuário é uma realidade para poucas empresas; é necessário a capacitação dos recursos humanos envolvidos desde a coleta de dados até a análise das informações, como também, alguma ousadia dos produtores rurais reverem seus conceitos culturais e gerenciais; e por fim, evidenciou-se que a interação da softhouse com o usuário é parte significativa do sucesso dos SIGs, sendo fundamental para o sucesso do processo de informatização agropecuária. In the last decades Brazil has been confirming its important role in the world agricultural production. Supporting this position is the use of the computer science for the rural companies and the prominence for the use of the management information systems (MIS). The objective of this paper was to gather and discuss information about some history facts of the information technology development applied in the Brazilian agriculture, focused the participation of MIS, since 1960 up to 2000 year. Therefore, this paper is characterized as a theoretical rehearsal accomplished starting from bibliographical revision. As final considerations were noticed that happened a fast growth of farm software market; a predominance to use transactional and managerial systems type, it was obseeved a growing need of the rural companies to integrate informations; the sector is very segmented and therefore the agricultural ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) is a reality for few companies; it is necessary training human resources involved from the collection of data to the analysis of information, as well as, some daring of the rural producers to review their cultural and managerial concepts; and finally, it was evidenced that the interaction of softhouse and user is a significant part of the success of MIS, being fundamental for the success of rural informatization process.
