Abstract

This paper assess the economic and distributional impacts of a set of ex-ante trade policy simulation in Rwanda based on a global top-down macro-micro simulation framework. Policies under analysis include Rwanda’s integration in the African Continental Free Trade Area, greater participation of Rwanda in GVCs vis-à-vis reshoring global production, and the effects of temporary trade restrictions with main trading partners.
