Análisis de vías alternativas de inversión pública en la agricultura y su impacto en el crecimiento económico y la reducción de la pobreza rural en Nicaragua

Abstract

En respuesta a la contracción económica que experimentó Nicaragua en 2018, y la urgente necesidad de recuperarse de ella, este estudio ofrece un análisis comparativo de cómo la inversión pública en infraestructura productiva impactaría en el crecimiento económico y la pobreza, según la cadena agrícola que la recibiría. El análisis se basa en una serie de escenarios prospectivos, generados a partir de un modelo que representa la economía nicaragüense en su conjunto y a nivel sectorial. Este modelo incluye las restricciones fiscales y financieras del país, y el estudio considera diferentes opciones de financiamiento de la nueva inversión proyectada.
