Rizobacterias Antagonistas De Los Hongos Causales Del Mal Seco De La Yautia Resistentes A Fungicidas: Componente Potencial De Un Sistema De Manejo Integrado De La Enfermedad

Abstract

Cepas de rizobacterias asociadas con el cultivo de la yautia (Xanthosoma sagittifolium [L.] Schott) y antagonistas de Sclerotium rolfsii, Rhizoctonia solani, y Fusarium solani, agentes causales del mal seco de la yautia se probaron para determinar la resistencia a fungicidas. Se evaluaron los productos qulmicos Benomil (Benlate), Metilo- Etridiazol-Tiofanato (Ban Rot), Metalaxil (Ridomil), Azufre Elemental-Sulfato de Cobre Tribâsico (Top Cop). El crecimiento de algunas de las rizobacterias fue mayor en presencia de fungicidas que en el control. Los resultados indican la posibilidad de implementar estrategias combinadas de control quimico y biolôgico para la reducciôn del mal seco. La desinfecciôn preventiva de semillas de yautia con fungicidas que protegen contra los hongos patôgenos y que no inhiben el crecimiento de las rizobacterias antagonistas de estos hongos representan un potencial para el manejo integrado de la enfermedad bajo condiciones de campo.
