Metodos De Proteccion De Semilleros De Tomate Ante La Infeccion Temprana Con Tylcv

Abstract

Con la finalidad de obtener métodos de protection de semilleros de tomate contra la penetration temprana de 'moscas blancas', Bemisia tabaci (Genn.) biotipo 'Β' ο Β. argenti/olii Bellows & Perring (Homosptera: Aleyrodidae), vectoras del Geminivirus del Rizado Amarillo de la Hoja de Tomate (TYLCV-Is), se evaluaron 9 métodos de protection de semilleros durante el periodo julio-septiembre de 1995. Se observe» que los tratamientos con Cobertura de cascarilla de arroz, de plâstico amarillo, y de plâstico plateado y marron tuvieron las poblaciones mâs altas de moscas blancas, que los tratamientos del insecticida sistémico Imidacloprid, del testigo y de los 2 tuneles de Mallas AntiVirus® y Avgol®. Los tratamientos de malla AntiVirus® de malla Avgol® y barrera viva con sorgo presentaron sintomas de geminivirosis significativamente mâs bajos que los demâs tratamientos. La floraciôn y fructification fue mâs temprana en los tratamientos de Cobertura de plâstico amarillo, seguido de Cobertura de plâstico plateado, testigo, cobertura con cascarilla de arroz y banda amarilla pegante. La cobertura con mallas afecta negativamente el desarrollo a 30, 45 y 60 dias después de la siembra, aunque las plântulas solamente permanecieron cubiertos de 20 a 28 dias. La protection de las plantas con mallas resultan en temperaturas mâs elevadas y dificulta el manejo de malezas por lo que se recomienda el uso de herbicidas pre-emergentes.
