Abstract

----- Charcoal is often used to control the phytotoxicity of plant excretions in tube. Node cuttings of two clones of D. alata and four clones of D. cayenensis are grown on media which differ by the charcoal concentrations from 1 g to 20 g/l. The effect of charcoal is effective as from 1 g/l : both for the rooting and the number of leaves. On the medium without charcoal the rooting is low but multiple shoots are observed. Specific and varietal interactions are discussed.
