Evaluacion De Diferentes Leguminosas En El Engorde De Conejos Como Sustituto Parcial Del Alimento Concentrado

Abstract

Se realizaron cuatro ensayos a 128 conejos de engorde en el Instituto Superior de Agricultura, Santiago, Rep. Dom., con el objetivo de evaluar diferentes leguminosas en el engorde de conejos como sustituto parcial del alimento concentrado. Las leguminosas evaluadas fueron Neonotonia wightii, Samanea soman, Clitoria ternatea y Prosopis juliflora. Las mismas fueron incluidas en una proporcion de 60 gramos de la leguminosa mas 40 gramos de alimento concentrado en base a materia seca. En todos los casos el testigo fue alimento concentrado a voluntad. Se utilizo un diseflo completamente al azar con dos tratamientos % tres repeticiones. El engorde con alimento concentrado ad libitum mostro un mayor crecimiento y rendimiento que los alimentados con concentrado restringido y suplementacion con las leguminosas estudiadas ad libitum. Los resultados indican que las cuatro leguminosas evaluadas pueden ser utilizadas como suplementos en el engorde de conejos, dependiendo su uso de la disponibilidad en la zona de crianza. De las cuatro leguminosas estudiadas, solo las vainas de Samanea saiuan pueden sustituir al alimento concentrado sin detrimento del rendimiento en el engorde y al sacriftcio.
