EVALUACION DEL USO DE HARINA DE PINON CUBANO (Gliricidia septum JACQSTUAL) EN SUSTITUCION PARCIAL DE SOYA Y MAIZ EN LA ALIMENT ACION DE POLLOS DE ENGORDE

Abstract

Se realizo un ensayo con el objetivo de evaluar el efecto de la sustitucion parcial de soya y maiz por harina de pinon cubano en polios de engorde. Los niveles evaluados fueron 5 , 1 0 , 1 5 y 20% contra un testigo 0%. Las dietas fueron evaluadas en tres etapas del desarrollo de 300 polios machos sexados. Las variables evaluadas fueron peso vivo semanal, mortalidad diaria y consumo voluntario semanal. Se calculo la ganancia diaria y la conversion alimenticia. La ganancia de peso fue afectada negativamente por la inclusion de harina de pinon cubano en los niveles de 15 y 20%. Por el contrario el consumo voluntario y la mortalidad no se afectaron. Los mejores resultados se obtuvieron cuando se incluyd el pinon cubano a niveles de 5 y 10% de pinon cubano.
