Bacterias Epifitas De Hojas Sanas De Mango (Mangifera Indica L.)

Abstract

Se aislaron bacterias epifitas de hojas de mango (Mangifera indica L.) de apariencia sana que se identificaron como Gram positivas y Gram negativas. Se identificaron dos generos dentro de las positivas y ocho dentro de las negativas. Las positivas fueron: Clavibacter michiganense, Curtobacteriumpusillum, C. luteum, C.jlacumfacienspv.flacumfaciensy C.Jlacumfaciens pv. oortii. Las negativas fueron: Acinetobacter radioresistens, Enterobacter agglomerans, Klebsiella pneumoneae, Pantoea agglomerans, Pasteurella caballi, Pseudomonas putida, Sphingomonas paucimobilis y Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae. Los cultivares de mango estudiados incluyeron las variedades Austin, Edward, K. Hayden, Hayden, Kent, Keitt, Palmer, Parvin y Pifiero. Se detectaron bacterias gram negativas en todas las variedades excepto en Edward. Se observo una tendencia a detectar mayor numero de Gram negativas segun aumento la humedad con la lluvia. No se detectaron bacterias fitopatogenas de importancia en el mango en Puerto Rico.
