Comportamiento Y Producci6n De Dos Clones De Platano Enano Utilizando Semilla Convencional

Abstract

Se evalu6 el comportamiento y la produccidn de los clones de platano Enano Comun y Congo Enano {Musa AAB) intactoy podado a tres y cuatro manos utilizando semilla convencional. Los resultados indican que no hubo diferencias significativas entre ambos clones de platano y su altura y numero de hojas funcionales a la inflorescencia y cosecha. La mayor produccidn fue obtenida con el clon Congo Enano intacto pero el peso promedio de sus frutas fue menor de 270 gr. lo que las hace no mercadeables. El clon Congo Enano podado a tres manos produjo 27,225 frutas mis por hectarea que el clon Enano Comun con un peso promedio de sus frutas mayor a los 270 gr. Este mismo clon podado a cuatro manos aunque produjo significativamente mas frutas que podado a tres; el peso promedio de sus frutas en la cuarta mane file menor de 270 gr.
