Abstract

This review presents an analytical and thorough reading of the book “Risk Sharing in Finance: The Islamic Finance Alternative” that has been published by Wiley (Asia) in 2012, and authored by four well-known Muslim economists and academicians; Hossein Askari, Zamir Iqbal, Noureddine Krichene and Abbas Mirakhor. The paper has been divided into several sections, a preface and concluding remarks. The preface highlights the importance of the topic that the book treatises, and the core questions that it addresses. The concluding remarks contain an overall view and few observations that can be taken into consideration in forthcoming editions. تُقدم هذه المراجعة قراءة تحليلية فاحصة لكتاب "المشاركة في مخاطر التمويل: البديل الإسلامي (Risk Sharing in Finance: The Islamic Finance Alternative)"، الصادر عام 2012م عن شركة جون وايلي وأبناؤه –الفرع الآسيوي- العالمية، والذي قام بتأليفه أربعة اقتصاديين وأكاديميين مسلمين وهم: حسين عسكري، وضمير إقبال، ونور الدين كريشان، وعباس ميراخور. وقد انتظمت الورقة في عدد من الفقرات؛ من أهمها: نظرة إجمالية عن محتويات الكتاب وموضوعاته، ووقفات مع قضايا وأفكار هامة عالجها الكتاب، بالإضافة إلى تمهيد تضمن الأسئلة المحورية التي حاول الكتاب الإجابة عنها، وملحوظات ختامية تضمنت رأيًا مجملاً في الكتاب، مع التنبيه على أمور علَّها تؤخذ في الاعتبار في الطبعات القادمة.
