Abstract

At first sight, the reader of this book could easily be misled into the conclusion that it is an exercise in the Comprehensive approach to economic development propagated lately, mostly by Third World development economists. However, a deeper contemplation of the message carried throughout the book will find some significant departures from the above approach mostly in content rather than in style.
