Abstract

The global economy is becoming increasingly turbulent. Another and more virulent version of the financial crisis is likely, although many vainly hope that if the Federal Reserve can keep interest rates down we will muddle through. Much can be done to prevent another catastrophic financial crisis but probably will not.
