Abstract

The catering industry has a low level of industry standardization and industrialization. With the rapid development of the “Internet” today, the catering enterprises are also seeking transformation and breakthrough by means of establishing platforms for digital management. This case describes the growing path of ShuHai Company shifting from a logistics purchasing department of Haidilao to a catering supply chain service provider. Through a process of learning, imitation, innovation, failure and trial, ShuHai has created new opportunities and expanded its markets. In addition, it realized a business model transformation through digital applications, including the ERP system and the O2O electric business platform.
