OFO Bicycle: Value of Convenience Added via Sharing Bicycles

Abstract

OFO Bicycle, a bicycle rental company unique for its business model, used ad app and followed the sharing economy principle. The team started the endeavour from Beijing University and tested the waters successfully in partner campuses around it, which finally led to the formation of a connected riding net among the colleges and covered a large area of Beijing; thus, this became a convenient mode of transport for the people in the community. This case gives a brief introduction to the current information observed from the sources related to the company, business, and their entrepreneur team.
