Abstract

The following sections are included:Three microinsurance schemes in India are reviewed: two are member-operated and one is a commercial scheme.To review the microinsurance schemes, around 350 insured and 350 uninsured households were surveyed in each location, and scheme mangers were also interviewed.Analysis used parametric tests (t-test and one-way analysis of variance, or ANOVA) and non-parametric tests (median test and chi-square).
