Abstract

It has been said that the shortest line between two people is a good story. Stories engage attention, evoke emotion, have powerful and compelling narratives, describe intriguing characters and are memorable when they are relevant. Stories also provide a critical connection between tourism businesses, destinations and travelers (Mathisen & Chen, 2014). They bring tourism brands to life and, most importantly, they create an emotional connection that is strengthened when multiple modalities for storytelling are embraced (Kim & Youn, 2017)…
