Abstract

“Heritage is what we inherit from the past and use in the present day” (Timothy, 2011, p. 3). Heritage is simply “in”; therefore, the interest for heritage and art as a cultural tourism product has been increasing in recent decades. Freund de Klumbis and Munsters (2004) recognize the relevant trend — the rising interest for local, regional and national history and culture, as an expression of one’s own identity.
