Abstract

This paper reports on the implementation of a knowledge sharing and collaboration platform by a global environmental consultancy firm. ERM's global knowledge sharing portal (Minerva) was rolled out after a nine-month joint project between the company's IT department and its Global Knowledge Sharing (KS) Team. Minerva makes extensive use of Web 2.0 technologies to improve enterprise productivity and its design was informed by Dervin's Sense-Making Methodology. In this paper, the author argues that in order to fully embrace Web2.0, the leaders have to adopt Leadership 2.0 and a user-centric communications culture.
