Abstract

QUAD, the neo informal strategic pact among the vital economies across the globe, drives the urge to understand the dynamics of the highly volatile stock markets. The empirical analysis of the stock markets thus becomes inevitable to understand the impact of this robust dialogue on the various stock market indices studied. In this chapter, the relationship among the bourses of QUAD economies is studied and for this purpose monthly prices of the last 15 years period from January 2007 to September 2021 of 4 major indices, i.e., BSE Sensex for Indian stock market, NASDAQ Composite for USA stock market, NIKKEI 225 for Japanese stock market and S&P/ASX200 for Australian Stock market have been taken. The results indicate the presence of a good degree of relationship among the stock markets of QUAD economies.
