Abstract

As I write these lines in February 2022, the Russian invasion of Ukraine is under way. It lends itself as a grim but appropriate setting to describe the transitions to come. The war will affect the finance industry at all levels, in profound ways that no previous trauma of the same magnitude has ever done before. The effects of this will reverberate for years…
