Abstract

Old friends are valued for their reliability, and even more so if they can adapt to new circumstances. Taken straight from our box of equity trading skills, we apply the Traders ATR in FX markets to manage stops and protect profits. The concept of ATR was developed by the brilliant technical analyst Welles Wilder. It captures the average volatility of price movements so we know which price movements are around average and which are larger than average. We call our adaptation of this long-term tool in our traders toolbox the Traders ATR because our application and display of the indicator is different…
