Abstract

Today, the ground-breaking technologies of the 4.0 Revolution are influencing the way companies operate, organize, and mobilize their resources, which forces enterprises to reflect, to review their business modes, and adopt new models. Having strategies for development, applications of new technologies, and the will to constantly innovate are crucial for enterprises to exist and thrive. This is the inevitable rule that businesses in Vietnam, particularly those in Ho Chi Minh City, should respect. Scientific and technological development and application of the revolutionary achievements of the 4.0 Revolution are the leading strategies to make a breakthrough in development. In this chapter, four issues have been focused on: (1) science and technology in the context of the Industrial Revolution 4.0, (2) the application of new technology in enterprises in the Industrial Revolution 4.0, (3) the science and technology and technology application in enterprises in Ho Chi Minh City, and (4) policy implications of the development of science and technology and the application of new technologies in enterprises in Ho Chi Minh City.
