A SUR Analysis of Investment and Institutional Variables

Abstract

Having tested the Granger causality between trade and FDI in the SAARC region in the last chapter, the current chapter makes an attempt to understand the relationship in a little deeper. The chapter tries to capture the role of various institutional variables proposed by Heritage Foundation in promoting FDI in the SAARC region. The chapter applies SUR model to investigate the relationship and role of these variables.
