Abstract

Narrative 7: Globalization introduced a radical change in world economy in the 1980s with China, and 1990s with Soviet bloc and India (Bourguignon, 2017: 75). The result is that 1 billion workers, mostly unskilled, entered, which resulted in increased international trade (Hecksher-Ohlin model) with Southern countries exploring unskilled labor to North with technology-intensive goods (Bourguignon, 2017)…
