Abstract

The article deals with the importance of a stimulating learning environment in the kindergarten. It describes its creation and discusses its importance for development and progress of children. Stimulating learning environment is presented by learning theme on clothing – “Betty and her clothes. The kindergarten teacher offers the children the opportunity to develop playing through the provision and creation of a stimulating learning environment. Preparation of games, tools and activities requires observation of individuals and the group and includes a lot of weighty consideration. The kindergarten teacher can provide a stimulating learning environment in a creative way by using unstructured and waste materials, where innovation is also required. Encouraging learning environment offers children security, ability to play and research, and gaining new skills, while it provides a safe environment for observing, encouraging, providing support and giving feedback to the kindergarten teacher. Encouraging learning environment always motivates children and leads them to development and progress. It enables them to be actively involved in the educational process, enables children-fromchildren learning, the ability to demonstrate progress and development, and offers involvement of children from planning to evaluation. The kindergarten teacher should be aware of the importance of integrating all Curriculum Topics in his work and, above all focus on the children's feeling of acceptance, well- and the sense of security being in the group. It focuses on the whole group and takes into account individuals at the same time.
