Abstract

The success of an educational institute is linked to a careful planning. Attainable and measurable goals have to be set and a strategy to achieve these goals has to be determined. Special attention has to be paid to leadership that will allow all employees to achieve their goals, as well as establish mechanisms for measuring and estimating the functioning of the educational organization through the process of knowledge management and quality assurance. The process of evaluation and selfevaluation are important factors for quality assurance and part of the process for knowledge management. Quality is expressed through performance, leadership quality and cooperation with the environment. Research has shown that kindergartens regularly perform evaluations and selfevaluations for the purposes of quality assurance. All participants are aware that the processes for knowledge management are very important for the successful functioning of the organization.
