Abstract

This chapter examines the barriers and gender discrepancies that women face in the traditionally male-dominated Asian aviation industry. The research delves into the root causes of these disparities, including lack of representation in leadership and reduced career progression opportunities for women compared to men. The study aims to understand and investigate the issues women face in the industry, which is prevalent across the entire Asia continent. The chapter concludes by proposing solutions and recommendations to address these disparities and emphasizes the significance of increasing female representation in the industry to promote diversity and innovation. The research in this chapter hopes to provide insights and inform future efforts to promote diversity, equality, and inclusion in the Asian aviation industry.
