Abstract

Zusammenfassung Nach vier Jahrzehnten der Reformen und der Öffnung muss sich China entscheiden, wohin seine zukünftigen Bemühungen führen sollen. Bedroht durch den zunehmenden Handelsprotektionismus ist die Welt gespannt darauf, ob China am Weg der Öffnung festhalten wird. In seiner beeindruckenden Grundsatzrede bei der Eröffnungszeremonie der Jahreskonferenz 2018 des Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) sprach Präsident Xi Jinping in höchsten Tönen von der Reform- und Öffnungspolitik, die China tiefgreifend verändert und die Welt nachhaltig beeinflusst. Außerdem brachte der Präsident ausdrücklich Chinas Entschlossenheit zum Ausdruck, sich der Außenwelt zu öffnen, indem er einen viergliedrigen Ansatz vorschlug.
