Abstract

Zusammenfassung Richtig eingesetzt kann Carsharing einen wichtigen Beitrag zur Mobilitätswende leisten und die Lebensqualität in Ballungsräumen nachhaltig verbessern. Dafür muss die infrastrukturelle Gestaltung von Carsharing-Angeboten jedoch städtebaulich integriert werden. Außerdem sollten nachhaltige Angebote, den örtlichen Bedingungen entsprechend, modular konzeptioniert werden. Um in diesem Zusammenhang Aufschluss über relevante Rahmenbedingungen und Handlungsmöglichkeiten zu liefern, erörtert dieser Beitrag am Beispiel der Städte München und Hamburg mögliche Implementierungsansätze für urbane Carsharing-Angebote. Im Rahmen eines Fallstudienansatzes werden die strategischen Ziele der beiden Städte in Bezug zu konkreten Umsetzungsoptionen gesetzt, wodurch eine kontextgerechtere und zielspezifischere Einbettung von Carsharing-Konzepten in städtische Verkehrsräume ermöglicht wird. Darüber hinaus werden die individuellen Implikationen der gewählten Umsetzungsstrategien analysiert, die Carsharing als wichtigen Baustein für kommunales-nachhaltiges Management motivieren.
