Abstract

Zusammenfassung Nachhaltigkeit ist der Megatrend unserer Zeit. Ohne nachhaltiges Handeln gibt es keine Zukunft. Daher wundert es nicht, dass auch mit Blickrichtung Wirtschaft immer mehr und stets mit mehr Konsequenz von Nachhaltigkeit gesprochen wird und diese auch eingefordert wird. Aber was ist Nachhaltigkeit eigentlich? Was meinen wir, wenn wir von unternehmerischer Verantwortung sprechen? Was ist „neu“ an der aktuellen Diskussion rund um dieses vielschichtige Thema? Dieses Kapitel möchte Ihnen die Grundlagen der Nachhaltigkeitsdiskussion vermitteln. Zugleich werfen wir einen Blick auf die Frage, welche Rolle Nachhaltigkeit für Start-ups und den Mittelstand spielt.
