Abstract

Zusammenfassung Der Organisationsbegriff wird unterschiedlich verwendet. Aus Managementsicht bietet sich ein instrumentelles Begriffsverständnis an: Es wird der Versuch unternommen, ein Unternehmen mit Hilfe verschiedener Instrumente zu steuern. Bei der Organisation handelt es sich insoweit um das Instrument, mit dem die arbeitsteilige und koordinierte Bewältigung von Aufgaben geregelt wird. Andere Steuerungsinstrumente werden zweckmäßigerweise nicht unter den Organisationsbegriff subsumiert – sie sind Teil des Managements, nicht aber der Organisation. Die zielgerichtete Gestaltung der Unternehmensorganisation setzt das Durchlaufen von Entscheidungsprozessen voraus. Die damit verbundenen Schritte in einen systematischen Managementprozess zu überführen, ist die Idee des Organisations-Controllings.
