Abstract

Zusammenfassung Empathie umfasst zahlreiche Facetten des Verstehen-Lernens, Begreifen-Könnens und Sich-Einfühlens. Allem voran bildet Empathie deren kognitive, emotionale und soziale Aspekte ab. Das sind individuelle Stärken, ohne die kaum jemand zur integralen Innovation fähig ist. Denn die empathische Spannweite ermöglicht es, sich in die unterschiedlichen Facetten der nachhaltigen Entwicklung hineinzuversetzen und sie zu einem übergeordneten Ganzen zu verschmelzen. Über diese persönlichkeitsorientierten Ebenen hinaus entfaltet empathisches Vermögen ein hohes strategisches Potenzial. Zum einen qualifiziert es Personen wie Organisationen darin, substanziell und engagiert von der Enkel-Perspektive, also von künftigen Generationen herzudenken und dafür einschlägige Szenarien zu erarbeiten. Das erfordert ein hohes imaginatives Niveau, um der Komplexität der Aufgaben gerecht zu werden. Es verknüpft dazu die systemische Ressourcen-Orientierung mit der nachhaltigen Lösungsstärke und den Konsequenzen für das Future Capacity Building.
