Abstract

Zusammenfassung Seit einigen Jahren wird der Begriff „Think Tank“ auch in einem betrieblichen Kontext verwendet. Corporate Think Tanks können als Foren, Projektgruppen oder Geschäftsbereiche definiert werden, in denen sich interdisziplinäre Teams aus unternehmensinternen Mitarbeitern und/oder unternehmensexternern Experten/Kunden mit zukunftsorientierten Fragestellungen beschäftigen. Grundsätzlich können zwischen analytisch ausgerichteten Think Tanks, gestaltenden Do Tanks sowie Mischformen unterschieden werden. Inhaltlich wird in den unternehmerischen Denkfabriken ein breites Themenspektrum bearbeitet. Meist geht es um zukunftsgerichtete Aspekte wie Foresight (z. B. Trends, Zukunftsfaktoren), Strategie und Innovation. Differenzierungsmerkmale von Think Tanks sind beispielsweise der Ort der Durchführung, die zeitliche Dauer (befristet oder permanent installiert) sowie unterschiedliche Formate.
