Abstract

Zusammenfassung Der Beitrag gibt zunächst einen Überblick über Digitalisierung als Megatrend der Gegenwartsgesellschaft und reflektiert dann mögliche digitalisierungsbezogene Veränderungen von Freiwilligenvereinigungen (FWV) des Sports. Basierend auf organisationssoziologischen Überlegungen von Luhmann (2000) identifiziert der Beitrag potenzielle Strukturveränderungen von Sportvereinen und -verbänden im Zusammenhang mit Digitalisierung. Detailliert wird gezeigt, wie sich organisationale Möglichkeiten, Entscheidungen zu treffen, infolge von Digitalisierung verändern – und welche intendierten wie nicht-intendierten Folgen für die Sportorganisationen damit verbunden sein können. Im Einzelnen geht der Beitrag dabei auf Entscheidungsprogramme, Stellen und Ämter sowie Kommunikationswege, Personal und Organisationskultur ein. Darüber hinaus werden digitale Schnittstellen zwischen Organisation und Umwelt beschrieben und in ihren Auswirkungen für die Vereins- und Verbandsentwicklung reflektiert. Abschließend werden in Verbindung mit Digitalisierung stehende Herausforderungen für das Management von Sportvereinen und -verbänden beschrieben und diskutiert.
