Abstract

Zusammenfassung Abschlussarbeiten oder Projektarbeiten als Prüfungen, teils als wichtige Meilensteine der Karriere, sind häufig der erste oder wichtigste Anlass für eine Beschäftigung mit dem Thema wissenschaftliche Arbeit. Neben Projekten zur Forschung und Entwicklung in Wirtschaft und Hochschule stellen solche Projekt-, Haus- und Abschlussarbeiten aller Art einen wichtigen Bereich wissenschaftlicher Arbeit dar. Wenn solche Abschlussarbeiten – für beide Seiten – nur lästige Prüfung sind, vergeudet man viele Ressourcen. Bei einem Umfang von 400 bis 900 h können solche Arbeiten nicht nur als Bildungsmaßnahme und Qualifikationskriterium dienen, sondern auch einen wirklichen Nutzen generieren. Dies gilt nicht nur in der Hochschule, sondern analog in Schule und Ausbildung. Die hier genannten Aussagen und Anregungen gelten auch für Arbeiten, die keine formale Prüfungen oder Leistungsnachweise sind, sondern beispielsweise im Rahmen einer beruflichen Tätigkeit oder der freien Forschung durchgeführt werden.
