Abstract

Zusammenfassung Ökonomische Theorien werden anders als in den Naturwissenschaften nicht durch Experimente in Laboren widerlegt. Wohl kontrollierte Laborbedingungen finden sich allenfalls bei ökonomischen Verhaltensexperimenten. Deren Aussagekraft für die gesamtwirtschaftliche Entwicklung ist aber begrenzt, weil die Erkenntnisse zumindest zunächst auf die Laborgruppe begrenzt sind. Ob Verallgemeinerungen möglich sind, dazu bedarf es weiterer Untersuchungen, die die Repräsentativität der gesamten Wirtschaft abzubilden vermögen. Schließlich findet Ökonomie immer in einer lebendigen, sich ständig verändernden Gesellschaft statt.
