Abstract

A claim is a legally substantiated demand or assertion of commercial and monetary compensation, payment or reimbursement by a claimant for a malfunction, poor performance, defect or failure of an agreed condition of a product, process, function in the performance of a contract or agreement. Claim Management or Subsequent Claim Management is the systematic monitoring and evaluation of deviations or changes and their economic consequences for the purpose of identifying and enforcing claims by a Claim or Supplier Manager.
