Abstract

Zusammenfassung Der Ukraine-Russland-Krieg, der Ende Februar 2022 von Russlands Aggression begonnen wurde, hat zu beträchtlichen Waffenlieferungen durch Nato-Länder an die Ukraine plus Wirtschafts-Sanktionsmaßnahmen des Westens und dabei auch der EU geführt. Dazu gehören Eingriffe in die internationalen Finanzströme beziehungsweise die Fähigkeit einer erheblichen Zahl von Banken Russlands, am internationalen Zahlungsverkehr – etwa via SWIFT-Netzwerk – mitzuwirken. Hinzu kommt ein relativ umfassendes EU-Ölimport-Embargo gegenüber Russland, allerdings kein Embargo der EU bei Gas aus Russland.
