Abstract

Zusammenfassung Die Gesundheitsbildung stellt eine zentrale Säule sowohl innerhalb der Gesundheitspädagogik als auch der Gesundheitswissenschaften dar. Im bisherigen Pandemieverlauf fand eine Debatte darüber, welchen Beitrag sie zu sozialen Reaktionen auf die Gesundheitspolitik leisten kann, faktisch nicht statt. Es dominiert die klassische, auf primär quantitativ generierten Daten basierende Gesundheitsinformationspolitik, der sozialepidemiologische Erklärungsmodelle zugrunde liegen. Der derzeitige Sachstand wird anhand des HLS-COVID-19, der Gutenberg COVID-19 und des COSMO COVID-19 Snapshot Monitorings aufbereitet. Die Berichte kommen zu übereinstimmenden Handlungsempfehlungen für die öffentliche Gesundheitsinformation. Der Beitrag kommt zum Ergebnis, dass dies aktuell und perspektivisch nicht mehr ausreicht, um die gesellschaftlich sozialen Herausforderungen zu bewältigen. Die Gesundheitsbildung kann einen bislang ungenutzten Teilbeitrag des Gesundheitsinformationssystems darstellen, um die bestehende Lücke zu schließen.
